Kim enjoys each step in the quilting process; from pattern and fabric selection, to cutting, piecing, quilting, and binding. She enjoys both hand and machine quilting, while hand binding each quilt to add a professional finishing touch.
Kim’s quilted work is created using 100% cotton fabrics and batting to give her pieces a traditional feel and look. She especially enjoys creating throw size and baby/toddler quilts that are meant to be used and enjoyed.
Crediting her grandmothers and mother for nurturing and encouraging a desire to create with fabric, Kim doesn’t remember a time when she wasn’t fascinated with the colors, patterns, and textures of fabric.
When not quilting and sewing, Kim enjoys spending time perennial gardening, as well as hiking in the mountains of western North Carolina. She and her husband Doug have called Wilkes County ‘home’ since 1992.
