The first time I held a mug that I made I was amazed to think that dirt from the ground, that was soft enough to shape with my own hands, could go through a fiery transformation to become hardened durable art.
In my functional pieces: mugs, plates, bowls, vases – I enjoy creating an earthy and imperfect quality that you don’t find in items that are mass produced. While in my jewelry and essential oil diffusing necklaces, I find that I can really express my imagination. It is so much fun to draw on my painting and bead making background to include those with what is now my primary media….clay.
