I was formally trained at NC State, SCAD, and Parsons and enjoy experimenting with a range of mediums such as fibers, textiles, photography, and design. The sewing machine is where I spend most of my time and I welcomed quilting into my creative life over 5 years ago focusing primarily on modern quilting. I work in a range of sizes from single block potholders, small and medium wall-hangings, up to full size bed quilts.
I enjoy mixing traditional quilt blocks with modern techniques as well as using fabric that I’ve created either through dying or screen printing within my quilts. In addition to quilting, I design sewing patterns for women & children.
I'm am a member of the Blue Ridge Modern Quilt Guild located in North Wilkesboro and have served as president for the past 4 years, as well as a member of the Blue Ridge Artisan Guild.
I live happily in my hometown of Wilkesboro, NC with my husband and our daughters.
